Grand Ledge Man Is Found Dead

L. C Tubbs Dies Suddenly; Grand Rapids Woman Dies During Visit.

GRAND LEDGE, Dec. 31.—L. C. Tubbs, 65, manager of the local Standard Oil station for years, was found dead at his place of business Monday evening at 7 o’clock, death being due to apoplexy. He leaves hie wife, and one daughter, Mrs Blaine Little, of Indianapolis, ind., who was here on a visit and planned to leave Tuesday morning.

Dies While on Visit

Mrs. Clyde Childs of Grand Rapids, who has been in Buffalo, and came here to spend the holidays with her husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Childs, 218 Smith st., died Monday morning of influenza. Services take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Oakwood cemetery, Rev. Thomas Laity officiating. She leaves her husband and three children, the latter having been with her here.
