Andrew M. Smith

SOUTH DANBY.

Died, at his residence in Danby, Jan. 25. Mr. Andrew M. Smith, in his 72d year. Mr. Smith with his family moved to this town from Ohio 17 years ago, and since then has made many friends in this vicinity. He leaves a wife and five children-2 sons and three daughters, all of whom are married, with a host of friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Sunday, Jan. 28 Rev. Mr. Smith of Portland preached the sermon. The services were conducted by the Masonic fraternity. The people showed their sympathy for the bereaved family by coming from far and near, forming the largest crowd of people ever assembled together here. The gallery was opened and it was literally packed above and below, and a large crowd outside the church unable to gain admittance.
