Plea of Insanity.

Being Made in Defense of Simeon Kent, Who Shot His Brother.

The arguments in the case of the People against Simeon Kent, charged with assault with intent to kill his brother Seth, are being made in the Circuit Court at Mason this afternoon, and the case may go to the jury tonight. Great interest is being taken in the case and the court room is crowded with interested spectators. Seth Kent, the victim of the assault, is anxious that his brother shall not be punished, and his attorneys are urging the plea of insanity.

Christian Breisch, who was convicted of perjury has entered into recognizance of $1,000, with Lawrence Price and Robert B. Shank as sureties, with a stay of proceedings of twenty days in which to move for a new trial.
