Council of Royal and Select Masters instituted

Tuesday evening, at the Masonic hall in this city, a Council of Royal and Select Masters was instituted under dispensation. The grand officers present were: Gen. A. Cross, Lawrence. Mich., N. I. Grand Master: Garra B Noble, Detroit, Grand Recorder; A. B. Bisby, Benton Harbor, Grand Lecturer; L. K. Hess, Grand Rapids, Grand P. C. W.; C. M. Norton, Lansing, Grand C. of G.; alen W. M. Clarke and E. Blakeslee, of lansing. Officers were elected in the new council as follows: J. V. Jones, T. I. M.; V. M. Kent, D. M.; C. W. Hilliker, P. C. W.; Geo. W. Hilliker. C. of G.: I.. R. Jones, C. of C.; Sentinel, H. Swegles. Thirty members were present. and the degree of K. and L. Master was conferred on live candidates, after which a splendid banquet and a good social time was enjoyed by all.
