Daniel Barber, of Vermontville, passed his ninety-fifth birthday in good health December 16. Daring his long life he has resided in but two places, Benson. Vt, where he was born in 1799, and Vermontville, Mich., where he settled In 1839. He became a Mason in 1821, and was elected to the state legislature in 1840, representing a district composed of Allegan, Barry and Eaton counties, the late Judge Flavius J. Littlejohn having been his competitor – Jackson Patriot.
