HORSE TAKES FRIGHT AT AUTO-MOBILE
Mrs. Watson Thrown From Buggy
With Serious Results. Mrs. Fuller Watson of Delta received severe injuries Wednesday afternoon about 2:30 o’clock. She was seated in her buggy waiting for her husband to come out of the State Bank, when the horse became frightened at Mr. Shane’s automobile and ran down Bridge street as far as the Majestic Cafe, where it turned up River street and when near the opera house, Mrs. Watson was thrown out and several ribs were cracked and other injuries sustained.
She was first taken into Smith’s store and afterwards taken to the Grand Ledge House, where she was given medical attention, and where she remained until Thursday afternoon, when she was conveyed to her home at Delta in Geo. Stokes’ ambulance.
Mr. and Mrs. Watson are residents of Delta, where Mr. Watson has a blacksmith shop. Yesterday morning Mrs. Watson’s condition was slightly improved so that she was able to be taken home that afternoon.
