The Demolay Banquet

Lansing Demolay Chapter fo boys were guests Thursday even. ing of the Grand Ledge Chapter Royal Arch Masons at a banques at the Masonic hall. About on hundred were present with thirty guests from Lansing.

After the banquet High Pries Homer Mattice acting as toast master presented James E. Foote who spoke on Principles of righ living and gave good definitions o happiness, pleasure and joy. Ho was followed by James E. Fergu son, worshipful master of Walter B. French lodge, one of the Blue lodges of Lansing and James T. P Eddie. Mr. Eddie is Grand Master of the First Veil in the chapter and one of the leaders of Demolay in Michigan. He congratulated the Grand Ledge Masons in thein attendance and the interest they were taking in Demolay work. He stressed the social side of lodge attendance and expressed the view that Masons in the different branches of the order were awakening to their duties and respon sibilities. He was very much pleased by the hearty support given to the Grand Ledge members of Lansing Demolay.

After the banquet the members and guests repaired to the lodge room where the two degrees of Demolay were conferred upon Nixon Hulce and Ralph Lawrence, two Grand Ledge boys.

The Grand Ledge Masons were very much impressed by the lessons taught in the degrees, the impressiveness of the work and the earnestness and efficiency of the boys.

Worshipful Master Briggs extended the Lansing Demolay chapter an invitation to return to Grand Ledge and confer the degrees at a future date.
