Grand Ledge Council R. and S. M will hold a regular meeting Morday night at which time the Royal Masons degree will be conferred and a visitation from the state grand officers is expected Five council officers and members attended a banquet and saw the exemplification of the Super Excellent degree at Eaton Rapids, Thursday evening.

The Fellowship degree team worked the second degree at Wacousta, Thursday night.

The Misses Ruby and Belle Winfield moved this week into the Mrs. Emma Brown apartment on West Jefferson street. They have occupied one of the Porter apartments for the past fourteen years.

Mrs. D. D. Waggott entertained last Thursday her two sisters, Mrs W. D. Zeller and son Lewis, Mrs. A. M. Bolton and Mrs. Martin Bopp and son Robert, also, a nephew David Mackey all of Lansing.

Mrs. Mont Lyon experienced a serious time yesterday morning with a chicken bone which lodged in her throat.

Miss Doris Letson is spending this week at her home south east of town.

Miss Freda Sisco spent a few days this week with friends in Mason.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Welch of Owosso were Wednesday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Turner.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rossman were business visitors in Grand Rapids, Saturday afternoon and also called on Mrs. Chester Lowry.

Mr. and Mrs. George Watson called on Mrs. Chas. Bentley in Oneida Sunday and found her resting as comfortably as can be expected. They spert the afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Kenyon.

Miss Majel Keller spent the vacation at her home in Holt.

Mr. and Mrs. George Watson went to Detroit. Friday to stay over the week end with relativés. J

ohn Kuipers, formerly of this place, arrived here Wednesday afternoon for a short stay.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Howard Astley of Lansing, April 7th a daughter.

Mrs. Ed. Oakley received the sad news last week that her sister, Mrs. Jane Fletcher of Coloma passednway last Thursday and the funeral was held Sunday. Mrs. Oakley was not able to attend. Mrs. Fletcher will be remembered by a number of local people as she spent one winter here at the Oakley home.

Mrs. Cornelia Morris who spent the winter in Florida is enroute home.

Mrs. Ethel Amiss is spending the vacation at her home in Charlotte.

Miss Geraldine Rynbrandt went to her home in Dorr, near Holland for the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Proal visited Mr. and Mrs. Al. Curtis in Easton, last Sunday afternoon.

Iladene Colby visited her friend Ruth Casada who lives near Dewitt, Tuesday and accompanied her to the Dewitt school that day.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barnes of Charlotte were in the city, Tuesday.
