Masonic Event at Mulliken

Two Prominent Officials Tendered

Farewell Reception. A most enjoyable farewell reception was tendered Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Stearns on the evening of Oct. 25 at the Masonic hall in Mulliken at tae close of the regular meeting of the O. E. S. Many of the Masonic brothers and their wives were abo the O. E. S. Many of the Masone brothers and their wives were also served and a general good time enjoyed by all.

Mr. and Mrs. Stearns expect to leave for California about the middle of November.

Mrs. Stearns has been Worthy Matron of Mulliken Chapter No. 151 for five, jeweled years and Mr. Stearns as Worthy Patron for 12 years. As a slight token of the high regard in which they are held Mrs. Stearns was presented with a Past Matron’s Jewel and Mr. Stearns wita a Masonic Button. Past Matron Stokes of Grand Ledge was chosen to present the jewel and her earnest and kindly words were very pleasing and impressive. This was followed by a “God speed” from the Wortay Patron, Brother Skinkle, also many others of the Chapter, includng Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Fisher of Lake Butler, Fla. Thus did the Chapter evince its appreciation of the noble work and the loving kindness of this sister and brother.
