Red Cross Benefit Party
WILL BE GIVEN TO RAISE MUCH NEEDED FUNDS
AT MASONIC HALL, DECEMBER 6
Help This Work By Buying One or More Tickets
The Red Cross was, is and always will be, short of funds. It is a big affair, and requires lots of cash to keep up the work.
Even the small chapter in Grand Ledge has forwarded thousands of useful articles to the soldiers, and although all the work has been contributed by a small band of loyal women, it takes cash to buy the yarn, the cotton, the thread and a dozen other things entering into the makeup of socks, sweaters, bed socks and other garments, so you can see that the dolar you contributed several months ago has gone in a hundred different d’rections. Other dollars are needed, and will continue to be needed right along, and to secure some of these dollars there will be a benefit card party, given under the auspices of the Fellowcraft club, for the Red Cross funds at Grand Ledge.
This benefit card party will be given at the Masonic hall on the evening of Dec. 6, and you are hereby urged to buy a ticket, or mayhap two, if your wife or best girl plays. Even if you don’t play cards, buy a ticket anyway-your money couldn’t be spent to better advantage if you want to help the soldiers.
