Laying of the Corner stone of the new Masonic Temple at Charlotte

Members of Orders From Many Points Will Be There.

The corner stone of the new masonic temple at Charlotte, will be laid on Thursday, May 19, the grand lodge officers of the order conducting the services. Many members of the order from Grand Ledge are preparing to attend the ceremony.

Several Commanderys of Knights Templar are invited and expect to attene, a number of prominent Masons will be there from different parts of the state, and the fraternal orders of the city will be invited to join in the escort. The parade will start at two o’clock in the afternoon, The ceremony will take place immediately on arrival of the parade at the Temple.

The parade will be headed by the several Commanderys with the accompanying bands, followed by the other fraternal organizations invited to participate, and they by the grand officers in carriages escorted by all the Blu Lodge Masons in attendance.


Lansing Lodge, No. 33, F. & A. M. will be here tonight to confer the M. M. degree on candidates in the local lodge. About 150 Capitol city masons are expected. A special train will be run for their benefit.
