Joseph K. Moss

Joseph K. Moss, aged 89, died Thursday morning at his home 609 West Jefferson Street. He was born in Oxford Co. Canada and at the age of nineteen came to Michigan where he has since resided.. In the year of ’61 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Cole and to this union were porp three children. Mrs. Minna Sutherland, who departed this life 29 years ago, Mrs. Lerna Sutherland, who resides at home and Freddie who died in infancy. His wife died nine years ago.

 

He was a civil war veteran and a member of the Masonic lodge.. who had charge of the funeral services. He is survived by one daughter and two grandchildren Mrs. Floyd, Dixon of Lansing and Forrest Sutherland of Hollywood, Califorina.

Funeral services were held at the home on West Jefferson Street Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J. W. Vickers of Lansing officiating. The Masonic services were held at the grave, burial beig made in Oakwood cemetery.
