Special Communications
Wednesday evening the F. and A. M. lodge held a special communication and conferred the entered apprentice degree upon three candidates. There was a good attendance at this as there are at all the Masonic functions and meetings of Grand Ledge lodge. F. A. Bryce presided at the piano and the degrees were conferred by the Junior officers, at the request of the Worshipful Master, W. H. Briggs. These officers acquitted themselves in a very satisfactory manner.
The Royal Arch Chapter held a convocation, Monday evening, and conferred the Past Master degree upon D. J. Welch ard the Most Excellent Master degree upon D. J. Weich, Jordan Cheesmond and Chas. Colby. Refreshments were served at the close of the meetings to eighteen members. A great deal of interest is being manifested in the degree of Royal Arch which will be put on by Lansing Chapter in Grand Ledge Chapter rooms in the near future. It is expected that the Grand High Priest of the state of Michigan will be present. Six candidates will be in waiting to take the Royal Arch degree.
Thursday evening a delegation consisting of W. G. Shane and Roy Hunt attended a conclave of the Knights Ttmplar in Lansing to witness the conferring of the degree of Red Cross and Malta upon Thos. Brooks.
On Tuesday of next week a Father and Son banquet will be held at the new Masonic Temple under the auspices of Lansing Masonic council. A delegation of Grand Ledge Masons will attend the banquet and following this will witness the conferring of the Fellowcraft degree by Lansing F. and A. M. lodge No. 66.
