O. E. S. Association

The nineteenth semi-annual Eaton County O. E. S. Association met in Mulliken Tuesday, May 5th. There was a large attendance about 175 being present. The teeting was opened by the county president Mrs. Prudence Dodgson of Kalamo. The opening song was “America, the Beautiful”. Prayer was offered by the chaplain, Mrs. Ada Simpson; Mrs. Martha Van Dyken of Grand Ledge, county marshal, presented the flag. Mrs. Irene Schavey, worthy matron elect of Mulliken chapter gave the address of welcome and Mrs. Gladys Doty of Grand Ledge responded. A short business session followed.

Miss Ida Holland sang a solo, accompanied by Mrs. Covell of Grand Ledge. A bountiful dinner was served at noon by the Masonic Temple Association after which the following chapters gave short but very interesting programs: Potterville, Grand Ledge, Bellevue Olivet, Brookfield, Eaton Rapids, Dimondale, Evening Star chapter Vermontivlle and Maple City chapter. At the close of the program Mrs Jessie Paddock in behalf of Mulliken chapter presented the president, Mrs. Dodgson, with a basket of flowers.
